Jesus Is Lord, A Worshipping Christian's Blog

Given to the worship of our Lord, Jesus Christ, who came to earth, lived sinless, died as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, was raised from the dead and rules from heaven at the right hand of God. All comments are welcome (keep them civil). You may post questions, prayer request and comments about almost anything. Please sign my guestbook.
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". John 14:6

He took a little child and had him stand among them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them, "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me." John 9:36-37

University of Kansas Offers Creationism Study (kind of -ed.)

I have to wonder if statistics was offered at the universities where the theory of evolution was taught. I ask this because anyone who has studied statistic can apply it to the probability of life being created by an accidental sequence of events. They will find that it is statistically impossible for life to have been created by accident.
Don't throw out the intelligent design theory yet.

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Creationism and intelligent design are going to be studied at the
University of Kansas, but not in the way advocated by opponents of the theory of evolution.
A course being offered next semester by the university religious studies department is titled "Special Topics in Religion: Intelligent Design, Creationism and other Religious Mythologies."
"The KU faculty has had enough," said
Paul Mirecki, department chairman.
"Creationism is mythology," Mirecki said. "
Intelligent design is mythology. It's not science. They try to make it sound like science. It clearly is not."

Read the rest here.

I think sometimes people get confused over evolution versus adaptation.
I went to
Merriam-Webster Online to check out some things.
Here is what I found:

Main Entry: evo·lu·tion

PHYLOGENY b : a theory that the various types of animals and plants have their origin in other preexisting types and that the distinguishable differences are due to modifications in successive generations
5 : the extraction of a mathematical root
6 : a process in which the whole universe is a progression of interrelated phenomena

Main Entry: ad·ap·ta·tion
Pronunciation: "a-"dap-'tA-sh&n, -d&p-
Function: noun
1 : the act or process of
adapting : the state of being adapted
2 : adjustment to environmental conditions: as a : adjustment of a sense organ to the intensity or quality of stimulation b : modification of an organism or its parts that makes it more fit for existence under the conditions of its environment

adapted; specifically : a composition rewritten into a new form.

Some will say "Well, what does he know, it's not his (my) field of study?" They are right, but I know that evolution is just a theory and I will thank educators to stop teaching it as fact.
