Millions Vote in Peace

Townhall.com reports:
Millions of Iraqis, from tribal sheiks to entire families with children in tow, turned out Thursday to choose a parliament in a mostly peaceful election - among the freest ever in the Arab world.

So liberals and doom-sayers...I told ya so!!

(AP) Iraq Voter Turnout Estimated at 70 Percent

Iraqi authorities tallied millions of ballots Friday and received some complaints about the conduct of the parliamentary election, including allegations of "violent interference" with voters. The election commission said none of the complaints involved fraud.
Officials said it could take at least two weeks until final results are announced for the new, four-year parliament because all the complaints have to be investigated. Preliminary results might be available in less than a week, they said.
Although violence was low on election day, the U.S. Marines said a mortar attack Friday killed an Iraqi soldier and four children playing soccer in a schoolyard that was a polling station in the western Eurphrates River valley town of Parwana. Two children were injured.

Notice how once the AP got past the title, their media bias showed back up and they immediately launched into the "complaints of conduct" and the election day violence (although there wasn't much to report on that topic) while almost ignoring the fact that 70% of the country's voters showed up, were allowed to vote and were even being protected by former terrorist.

Read the rest of the AP article here.

Why are liberals so filled with hate for President Bush that they advocate and wish evil and destruction on a whole country of people who are fighting to get the same rights we enjoy every day? Think about it. No one likes war, but today, people in Iraq are free for the first time in their lives.
