Talk-Show Host McGuire Calls on Christians to Support Israel

Whether we like it or not, Israel and the Jews are God’s chosen people. Through His covenants given during Old Testament times, God established the Nation of Israel and promised to never allow it’s complete destruction.
In fact, the Bible goes on to say that people (countries) who don’t support His chosen people will experience His punishment as well.
Now I agree that the Jews have been disobedient to God over the ages, which has resulted in some very severe punishments for them. None of these facts negates that fact that God made them His chosen people and has a covenant with them.

(AgapePress) - Syndicated radio talk-show host
Paul McGuire has called on Christians around the nation to more actively support the nation of Israel.
With the recent threat by the president of Iran to destroy the nation of Israel, tensions have started to mount. McGuire is concerned about a growing trend among some Christian groups who believe "that God is finished with the nation of Israel" and that "the church has replaced Israel." Also a professor at
The King's College in Van Nuys, California, McGuire asserts that this is "a teaching which is not supported in scripture."
McGuire, a frequent commentator on CNN and the Fox News Network, has just finished a new book on Bible prophecy, Israel, and current events, entitled Are You Ready? McGuire says he hesitates to use the word "prophetic" because he does not claim to be a prophet.
"But the book contains what amounts to a prophetic warning to America and the Church," he says. "I think God was trying to get our attention with 9/11, and with hurricanes like Katrina and Wilma. Unfortunately, America and the Church have not heeded the warning call -- and I believe something far worse is going to come."
McGuire's books on Bible prophecy have received the endorsement of numerous national Christian leaders. Dr. Tim LaHaye, who calls McGuire a "close friend" said, "I want to compliment you on your book on Bible prophecy. I read it and thought it was very well done!"
In addition, leaders from the nation of Israel have praised McGuire's books and efforts to mobilize Christians to stand for the nation of Israel. One of Israel's leading generals, General Shimon Ere, describes the book as "an eye opener" and "a refreshing guide for the faithful and a God-sent testament of truth." Ere quotes Isaiah 62:6 -- "I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, who will never hold their peace day or night. You that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence." -- then offers this endorsement:
"Dr. Paul McGuire is a watchman on the walls of Jerusalem; one of the best. And he does not keep silence. A tireless, effective teacher, preacher and talk-show host promoting the eternal values of the Judeo-Christian faith; and condemning the false prophets [Matt. 7:15] who are still swamped in the falsehood of the 'replacement theory.'"
Says McGuire, "there is a dangerous trend in some Christian circles to teach what is called 'replacement theology,' which is the belief that the Church has replaced Israel and does not have the right to the land of Israel. A careful study of scripture reveals that God made an everlasting covenant with Abraham and his physical descendants.
"Everlasting means everlasting!" McGuire continues. "The Jews have been promised the physical land of Israel from God. It is the responsibility of Christians to stand for the nation of Israel. In addition, it is impossible to understand Bible prophecy without understanding God's plan for the Church and the nation of Israel."
McGuire recently hosted former President Jimmy Carter on his show, during which he talked to Mr. Carter about the Middle East peace process. During that interview, McGuire stated: "As anti-Semitism around the world increases, Christians must stand for Israel."
