It's official: Israel to withdraw from West Bank

I cannot understand what the government of Israel is thinking. They continue to give away the land God gave them so long ago. We now have them deciding to do this:

JERUSALEM – Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has announced Israel will unilaterally withdraw from most of the West Bank and make other moves aimed at changing the Jewish state's borders.
In taking the widely anticipated actions, Olmert explained his policy by claiming Palestinians may soon outnumber Jews and threaten Israel's Jewish character unless a separation is imposed.
Critics have said not only is the territory covered by Olmert's plan strategic and vital to Israel's defense, but state the acting prime minister is relying on false demographic information. They point to a recent studying indicating Jews likely will outnumber Arabs by more than double in 20 years.

Read the rest here.

Meanwhile the terrorist are doing this:

An IDF tank fired a shell at two Palestinians trying to lay explosives at the Erez crossing early Thursday afternoon, killing one and moderately wounding the other.
Palestinian sources claimed, however, that the men were not terrorists, but were innocent civilians selling candy on a donkey.
The incident follows an attempted
terror attack at the Karni crossing early Thursday morning in which IDf troops killed two terrorists. At approximately 4:30 a.m., two armed Palestinians attempted to infiltrate the Israeli side of the crossing.
Security officials believe that on the Palestinian side of the crossing, Palestinian security forces knew of the attack before it occurred.

See the link here.

Giving up territory sure has helped the security and welfare of Israel so far. NOT!!
