Some more Cartoons against the Cartoon Jihad
Here are some more cartoons from people, mostly in Europe, who are trying to speak out against the so called Cartoon Jihad.
This page was in German, so I ran it through the Google Translator first.

Hi JIL,
Off post comment.
A Greek friend of mine and I had a discussion regarding Homosexuality. He says that there is no reference in the new testament against Homosexuality. I told him that in the old testament I'm sure there is. I looked it up and Leviticus it says it's an abomination. But, then my friend comes back with this and now I'm totally lost.
My friend says that if you are going to take the Old Testament as the word of God, then you must take it all. You can't pick and choose.
In his email to me he says:
When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Leviticus 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. How should I deal with this?
I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as it suggests in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
I also know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Leviticus 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
Now I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2. clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
Then, Exodus 25:44 states that I may buy slaves from the nations that are around us. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans but not Canadians. Can you clarify?
A friend of mine also feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Leviticus 11:10.), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality.
And Leviticus 22:22 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
So, as you can see, my friend's email is silly and he is exaggerating obviously but he's got some good points in that how can you honor one point in the bible (regarding Homos) and dismiss the other regarding the other stuff above. How can I prove that Homosexuality is a sin when apparently other things in the bible are sins but we don't take them seriously.
A good question for JIL....
Hey TruthSeeker.
Thanks for the question. Your friend is trying to be funny, but also does raise some good points. I’ll try to cover them the best I can one at a time.
Your friend said that homosexuality is not talked about in the New Testament. He is wrong.
Three text that come to mind concerning homosexuality in the New Testament are Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9 and Jude 1:5-7. Let’s look at them one at a time.
In Romans 1:26-27 The Apostle Paul is very specific:
“Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.”
Paul is talking about those who know the law and have been told of salvation, yet continue to turn away from God and to their own sexual perversion. God gave them over to their lust because they turned away from Him as shown in verses 18 through 20:
“The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.”
Paul went on to write in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10,
“Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”
The Greek word from which the King James Bible gets the word “effeminate” is malakos, which literally means something soft to the touch, but is used as a negative metaphor to refer to a boy kept for homosexual relations with a man. The “abusers of themselves with mankind” are those men who engage in unnatural sexual relations with other men – homosexuals. That is also how the NASB, the NKJV, and the NIV translate that verse.
Jude took a very tough stance on it in Jude 1:5-7. He says:
"Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire."
I’d say that pretty well spells it out, from a New Testament perspective, what is taught about homosexuality.
What your friend has done is to try to take Old Testament rules for the Jews and apply them to New Testament Gentiles (us). He has taken all these example out of context and applied them to us. As my friend Corbin says: “Context, context, context!!” Jesus came to “fulfill the Law” and did so by His death on the cross and His defeat of death at the grave. The temple curtain was torn in two and our separation from God, by sin, was removed forever.
John 11:25-27 (New American Standard Bible)
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?"
She said to Him, "Yes, Lord; I have believed that You are the Christ, the Son of God, even He who comes into the world."
T.S., I believe in Biblical Truth, so in my mind, everything in the Bible is true, even though I may not understand how. But the Bible must be taken as a whole. Almost anything can be proven, with the Bible, if verses are taken out of context. When taken as a whole, that is when Biblical Truth becomes very evident. God’s Word is perfect.
Take care, My Brother in Christ
Thank you for your words. I'm copying and pasting as we speak (well after this I mean)...
