Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". John 14:6

He took a little child and had him stand among them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them, "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me." John 9:36-37

Texas Voters Approve Ban on Gay Marriage

Well, I kind of figured this would come to pass. Texas is pretty conservative and since we've even seen liberal states pass the same kind of legislation, it was pretty much a forgone conclusion.
Ben Rast made the comment to my post below that it will only be a matter of time before it ends up in court. I agree with that completely.
I hope that maybe our courts down here will have more sense then the other courts who have addressed this issue.
What makes me confused is that the courts are supposed to uphold the constitution. We voted to amend the Texas State Constitution to include this. At a state level, there should be no way for them to declare this unconstitutional.
Guess they'll have to go Federal...
