Does Gay Prevention Hurt Teens?

As I'm sure many of my readers recall, I've highlighted recently how easily the end times Christian can be deceived when he or she fails to dig into some of the hype presented by the liberal news media and seek out the truth of a matter. Such is the case in relation to an Associated Press story I found entitled "Report: Gay Prevention Programs Harm Teens." While I have no genuine idea whether the AP's intention was to make people think, based solely on its title, it's harmful for certain programs to try to prevent teens from being gay, Exodus International being the sponsor of one such program, one could easily get that impression at a glance. Only when one digs into the article is it discovered that the report critical of gay prevention programs was prepared by homosexuals themselves, namely the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Policy Institute, which I think it's fair to say has a certain bias in relation to the findings of its "report." What the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Policy Institute is engaging in, through the use of its report, has little to do with the welfare of teenagers and everything to do with warfare --- against Christianity and, in particular, the Word of God! According to the AP article, the report indicates "some Christian-based gay prevention and treatment groups have used the First Amendment protection of religion to avoid sanctions by state health officials seeking to enforce regulations on counselors who offer therapy without a license." How dare Bible-believing members of the clergy tell children that Almighty God has forbidden them from practicing sexual immorality, namely homosexuality, without being licensed therapists? Task Force Executive Director Matt Foreman is quoted in the AP article as saying the activities of the clergy in guiding the moral lives of teenagers "deserves to be regulated." What Foreman and the others involved in this insideous plot against the Word of God want is to stop Christians from telling children it is a sin to practice homosexuality, as well as keep clergymen from leading teenagers who've given themselves over to practicing homosexuality out of their sin and back into an obedient relationship with their Heavenly Father. Does gay prevention hurt teens? Not if we believe the Word of God! Throughout the Bible, we see time and time again that obedience to God's will leads to blessing. Disobedience to God's will, on the other hand, brings judgment, trouble, heartbreak, and, if left unchecked, eternal damnation. If there's anything I hope the readers of my site are learning through my humble efforts, it's this: Evil has a plan - one that intends to see the Word of God, the Gospel of JesusChrist, and the Church silenced by whatever means necessary. Whether it be through thinly-veiled deception designed to pull at the heart strings of Christians by implying their efforts to keep children free from sexual immorality actually harms them or outright warfare against the Word of God and men of God found in the body of the article, the battle between good and evil rages on here in these end times. Question: Do you, as a Christian, have any reservations whatsoever when it comes to calling a sin a sin, due to the efforts of darkness to make you feel bad for doing what God would have you to do, namely to uphold the teachings of His Word literally? I sincerely hope not, but if your answer to that question is yes, you have allowed yourself to enter into a dialogue with darkness and, having done so, brought yourself into a state of spiritual confusion. How do you repair that problem? Through repentance, study of the Word, living your life BY THE BOOK and telling others how to live their lives BY THE BOOK - God's Book. James 5:20: Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. God bless Alan Chambers, President of Exodus International, who himself found his way out of homosexuality and into God's will and is heading a ministry comprised, at least partially, of others who've done the same - a much-needed ministry here in these end times where the world is beginning to look more and more like Sodom and Gomorrah. I pray God's blessing be upon everyone at Exodus International and that their efforts will lead many teens, as well as adults, to repent of their sexual immorality and come to faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Those who do so, whether teenagers or adults, will not be harmed in the least as the future will demonstrate to be true. How can I say that without being a licensed therapist? Because that's what God's Word says and is true, no matter how many "reports" the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Policy Institute may write to the contrary.
